Human League "Rock 'n' Roll/ Nightclubbin'" has always been a favorite of mine.
Good call on the OMD one, WolverineSyr! I forgot all about that one!
Joe Jackson also had a tendency to mix all the songs on one side of the vinyl together, as well (Side One of "Night and Day" does this, as do both sides of "Blaze of Glory"). See, Bruiser, you're not the only one who thinks in terms of Side One and Side Two. [:D]

On Depeche Mode's Black Celebration album you had the first (& title track) go into Fly On The Windscreen. AWESOME![8D]

Dan Fogelberg's georgeous 'Tullamore Dew' / 'Phoenix' are one of my perennial AOR pairings.
As far as 80's era, I must give props to BAD and their vastly underrated and overlooked 'Megatop Phoenix'
The whole album is one seamless series of deft and fluid transitions, absolutely fabulous and my fave from them IMO.[8D]

Best concert I ever went to. Irving Plaza, NYC, 1986. I remember Mick Jones rapping off the cuff: "B.A.D. in N.Y.C.....!" It was insane! Joe Jackson - Happy Loving Couples/Throw It Away with the abrupt stop and "Roit, thot's 'nuff" leading into the jarring chords of the next song. Joe's 1st two albums are a lot of fun.
