Clear channel does blow. And they started th ball rolling. Infinity is following right behind them with their tactics. Thats why Howard is starting a new thing.

Lucky for me I have two really good college stations in my area. Clear channel does own the rest of the local market here though.

KYOU AM 1550 is am all podcasting? Where is hell is this Week in Tech http://twit.tv Guys?? And Now they want to turn their nearly purchase KEAR 106.9 into one those Lame FM Talk station. Wow, I haven't listened to those stations in years and didn't realize they all changed. The idea of an alt 70s-80s station though... That would be the day. Something like the flashback equivalent of Indie 103 in SoCal! Where you could hear The Jam next to Blondie next to Depeche Mode next to New York Dolls next to Visage... Come on, someone from the Bay Area win the lottery so you can buy out a radio station from the demons at Clear Channel!

*sigh* As long as I'm dreaming, I'd like a pony... with laser-guided heat-seeking missiles attached to the saddle...

Mr. Sioux
At least KFRC 610 has the A's (damn they lost) bay area radio has sucked for years Live 105 has always been weak!!! The best station we ever had here was the best station ever KQAK The Quake FM99 with progresive rock for the eighties from late 82 to june 85.

BTW the guy that runs Family Radio is a Cult leader condemed by evangelical leaders.

Before that in the late 70's it was KSAN that throw a bone here and there to New Wave and acceptible (in thier arbitrary minds) punk bands. The rest KSFX, KMEL, KSJO, KOME and later KRQR all fought over who will play Led Zepplin the most on the air.

Go A's Go Raiders Go Cal
East bay rules!
