The Notekillers

Postby schwenko » Sun Sep 11, 2005 11:34 pm

can anyone add anything to the following?

Notekillers - Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth once called the Notekillers a "weird lost myth for some of us." Originally existing in fairly complete obscurity from 1977-81 in Philadelphia, twenty-some years after they broke up in utter frustration, Thurston hailed their single "The Zipper" as "mind-blowing" and named them as a significant influence on Sonic Youth in a recent issue of Mojo Magazine.

What do you think of it?

It's pretty much what I expected after reading that review. It is all over the place and the recording quality's not all that great. I love "The Zipper" and since that's the first track, it kind of went downhill from there for me. I've only listened to it once though and this may be one of those albums that has to grow on me. It's worth checking out though.
