Ric Ocasek - New CD

Postby SubMassCon » Wed Oct 05, 2005 1:27 am

For all of you Cars fans out there, Ric Ocasek has a new CD out entitled "Nexterday". It's a fairly stripped down affair. Ric playing most of the instruments, no big production values. But some of the songs have a definite Cars vibe about them. There are a few rockers, but most of them fall into the mellower vibe of such Cars' songs as "I'm Not The One" and "Jacki (Heartbeat City)". And there's a song called "Silver" about his late partner in crime Benjamin Orr that'll break your heart. If you're a fan I'm sure you'll find plenty to like.

Thanks for the info on Ric Ocaseks latest.I always rely on peoples opinions before I buy.If you like artists from that era then check out Steve Diggles latest as well as Glen Matlocks. Both are on E.M.I and both are great.

I actually really like a lot of the Cars' slower stuff. I might check that one out. Thanks for sharing the info.
