Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think we ‘re speaking about one person not a band. Alison Goldfrapp. She made a nice crossover with her music. I remember her singing the spooky and dreamy “Utopia”, the single from her debut album. Since the release of the “Train” she has gone other ways. electro, industrial, next wave etc.

According to their website they are described as a duo, Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory.

Another Ladytron fan here. And Goldfrapp. I like older Goldfrapp as well as newer Goldfrapp. "Strict Machine" is one of the best Next Wave songs to come out in recent years, IMHO. I can't get enough of this song. Well, actually, I never thought of it as "next wave" until I saw this thread. But anyway, I love it to pieces.

I enjoy most of those bands listed above. I don't get too caught up in how they're supposed to be labelled--because really, it's just terrific new music that happens to remind many of us of 70s & 80s New Wave, which is the best music that ever existed. I don't think that's so bad.[:)]

I like all the bands that are mentioned but I think Interpol captures the 80's sound look and feel the best. It's just my opinion.[:)]
