I have heard of a sound called the LA Night/LA Synth sound. What was this? Who falled into this category?

I grew up in LA and don't recall an "LA Synth" movement. However, given your interest in synths, could you have seen it in reference to Roland's late-80s sound modules like the MT-32? These were called Linear Algorithmic or Linear Arithmetic (I can't reme

Thats really cool that you mentioned that. Because in my latest stab at the recording industry, I am doing a CD made on vintage video game tones and notes.
