Which of these 2 members was more important to the success of The Cars?

In general, I prefer the songs that Ben sings. But there's only 4 or 5 songs that Ric didn't write by himself. So, Ric's more important.

Ric wrote 99.99% of the Cars' songs on his own (Greg Hawkes did a co-write or two) so I'd say he was the most important. And Ben Orr did have a great voice for his 2-3 songs per album but without Ocasek's songs, The Cars wouldn't have existed.

Ric, partly because his distinctive looks added to the Car's image, I would add. However, it is impossible to imagine the band without Ben; what a great voice!
