Alright guys,

Here's the deal. I've got a wedding coming up soon and, since I actually have pull, I just can't let the reception party music turn into another case of "Been There Done That" overplayed 70s disco and Kool and the Gang.

No, I want to do it right, so I'm coming to the trusted NWO for help on good 80s New Wave that will get people in the mood to shake their thang. I certainly have my own ideas, but I was wondering, what would be your ideal New Wave wedding party dance party mix? Sorry there's no prize for this or anything cool for participating, other than maybe the satisfaction to know that there will be at least one reception party out there that won't be full of sucky music. TIA and all that.

THanks for the mention. I too was tired of hearing [i]Celebration[/i] over and over again. That's why I started working on that disc over a year ago. It's been a real hit at the four parties I've used it at.

When the mrs & I got married, we met with the DJ a month prior and gave him two lists: the Play list & the Do Not Play list. He obliged, and we had a great party for our reception.
Songs that I remember were It Must Be Love (Madness) and Message of Love (Pretenders).

getting married, and "It Must Be Love" is a fine choice! Also, that's probably a good idea, too, a Do Not Play list.
