Who do you think made the greatest artistic statement?
I'm going to go with Kraftwerk. The whole concept of music manufactured and synthesized, completely railing against the rock establishment with traditional instruments, all the computers, the robots on stage.....there will never be another Kraftwerk.

The Pogues, without a doubt. They took not only Irish folk, but folk music from all over the world and galvanized it with punk's energy & urgency. Shane MacGowan wrote like some bastard hybrid of James Joyce and Charles Bukowski on an acid trip through Hell. Bittersweet drunken fury, a christmas fixture and the worst case of gingivitis in the history of pop music.
