Hello all
This is my first post after just discovering NWO - what a great site! I'm a huge NW fan and thought I'd throw in question as a way of introducing myself. Is The Ward Brothers' 'Madness of it all' the most underrated 80s album? It is a little late for the new wave peak admittedly (1986) but has some serious credentials such as:
- cracking synth work throughout, reminiscent of Nick Rhodes' work on Rio at times
- brilliant guitar riffs leading many of the tracks
- a fair dose of pretentiousness
- outstanding production courtesy of Mike Howlett, no less
What do you all think?
ps - I've just ordered Belouis Some's first album off cdbbq and would welcome any opinions from those who own it; I'm presuming it's going to be great [:)]
