Songs about Space

Postby Spectre General » Sun Mar 18, 2007 11:15 am

Outer Space that is. I'm trying to make an 80's space playlist. Here's what I got so far:

After the Fire - Starflight
April Wine - Caught In the Crossfire
Rational Youth - Coboloid Race
Peter Schilling - Major Tom (Coming Home)
Peter Wolf - Mars Needs Women
FM - Alderbaran
French Revolution - Alien Too
Europe - The Final Countdown
Space Monkey - Leave the Planet
Q-Feel - Dancing in Heaven (Orbital Bebop)

Can anyone recommend anything else?

Most of the ones that I have on my 80s space playlist have already been covered, so I'll try to mention some that are not there (altough most of them are more space synth/Eurodance/Hi-Energy/minimal synth more than New Wave).

Nick John - Planet Nine (1985)
Patrick Cowley - Teen Planet (1981)
Solid Space - 10Th Planet (1981)
The Voyagers - Distant Planet (1984)
Zoomers - From The Planet Moon (1980)
Buckner & Garcia - The Defender (1982)
Charlie - Spacer Woman (1982)
Greg Hawkes - Voyage Into Space (1983)
Topo & Roby - Under The Ice (1985)
Michael Bedford - Space Boys (1986)
Modern Rocketry - Space Walk (1987)
Player One - Space Invaders (1981)
X-Ray Connection - Escape from Space (1984)
X-Ray Connection - Replay (1984)
Cless - Extraterrestreally (1983)
Men Without Hats - Utter Space (1982)
Laserdance - Around The Planet (1986)
Xenon - Xenon Galaxy (1983)
Hypnosis - Droid (1985)
Patrick Cowley - Tech-No Logical World (1981)
Pascal Languirand - Nova (1981)

Not from the 80s but still very good:
Kraftwerk - Spacelab
Bolland & Bolland - Spaceman (1978)
Ganymed - Future World (1979)
