Bands that Unveiled a New Lead Singer

I was talking with a friend of mine the other day who joined me for an Echo & The Bunnymen concert in the early 90's. It was during that period when Ian McCullogh had left the band and gone solo. In his place, the band trotted out Noel Burke for lead vocals.

The critics absolutely sh!t-canned the offspring of that period, Reverberation, but I was thrilled to see the band in a small venue setting again (Tramps in NYC). And ya know what? They rocked. Although Noel wasn't a good replacement for Ian, I've seen my share of concerts where Ian got stoned and drifted off on tangents, etc. I thought Echo absolutely shredded in this lineup in a live setting.

So, getting off the Echo subject. Are there any other 80's bands that tried to pull off the lead vocalist switch? PowerStation and The Pogues come to mind, but I know you people have probably got much better examples...
