Little known fact about the Buggles: they had other top 40 hits in the UK. Will someone tell the 80s CD compilers and DJs that??[xx(]

Few more spring to mind:

Culture Club - Karma Chameleon
Wham - All their hits, in paticular 'Last Christmas', 'Young Guns' and 'Club Tropicana'

Go West - We Close Our Eyes
Madness - Driving in my Car, House of Fun
ABC - Poison Arrow

Two great "anthems", but they--over anything else--deserve this title: "Whip It" from Devo & "My Sharona" from The Knack. "867-5309/Jenny" from Tommy Tutone runs very closely behind.

One song I liked at first but now officially hate after being subjected it billions of times. 99 Luft Balloons. Not that it was ever a big favorite to begin with.

What I Like About You - The Romantics (if I didn't hear this one for awhile...it would be OK)

Yes, I agree with two of them:

Modern English - I Melt With You
Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance

and would add:

Madness - Our House

I no longer like these songs because they're so overplayed. I would say "I Ran" by AFOS, but I still like it even though it's overplayed, I do wish you would here other AFOS songs though, much like The Buggles, people don't seem to realize they had other songs.

...Actually now that I think about it, almost every New Wave band that ever got airplay was a "one hit wonder" from the pop standpoint, and of course those are the only songs by them you hear now, the pop hits.

I'll never grow tired of this song.
