This week, Rhino releases the first in a string of Joy Division-related reissues, coinciding with the 30-year mark of the band's formation. The first project, a box set containing 180-gram vinyl editions of the band's first three records—1979's Unknown Pleasures, 1980's Closer and 1981's Still—is available for $199.98, with individual copies of the albums appearing for sale September 18.

Coming October 30 are double-disc collectors editions of all three, each of which will include the remastered original LP and a collection of previously unreleased live performances. The soundtrack for the upcoming Ian Curtis biopic, Control, is set to drop the same day, and features music by Joy Division and several of their peers, including the Buzzcocks, Velvet Underground and David Bowie. Rounding off the autumn of Joy will be Rhino Mobile's ringtone treatments of JD tunes "Love Will Tear Us Apart Again" and "Transmission," which will be available through all cellular services.
