Every year on New Years Eve, there's 10 couples that get together. Most of us have known each other for 20+ years. Some of us since grade school. Now, the majority of us were pretty much inseperable. We hung out in the same clubs, all liked new wave/punk. Some of us married people that didn't have the same taste in music. They are the minority, maybe four or five of them. Anyway, we put everyone's name in a hat and the person drawn has to do the music for New Year's Eve. Yippee, I was drawn this year. Now the last three years have been a festival of hair bands, soft rock and other music that to me is like nails on a blackboard. I'm going to do it right this year. The problem is it's usually a 10-12 hour blow-out. I've come up with my list and I'm a little short. If you had to choose 5 songs that you wanted to hear, what would they be? Maybe I've missed a few and some of you can jog my memory. Nothing too hardcore, there were only a few of us into that and unlike the hairband people I wouldn't subject them to that. Though I may throw a few in as a thank you to them for never including one new wave song in their choices. Thanks.
2007 is going out in style.
