By the way, Marie3, how was it?

I saw it about a month ago....the first part was pretty interesting. he was kind of a hippy. the last bit was depressing...Joe never really did much of interest after The Clash (imo). there were no captions of who was speaking on the screen, deliberate I know, but some people could have used some help figuring out how these codgers figured into the story....it could have been 30 min shorter.... it was OK. I've never found The Clash that compelling as individuals...their music was of course outstanding. The biggest laugh in the film was Johnny Depp interveiwed with his Pirates rubberbands in his beard drolling on about "Joe". Blowhard. 3 out of 5 stars.

Thanks Rotator!
I was always a huge Strummer fan. He was an impressive character who had a tremendous drive and enthusiasm for what he believed in.
You're right...he really didn't do much of note musically after The Clash though I think he could have.
