I almost missed it (I thought it was Sunday, not Saturday), though I did realize about 2 hours beforehand the correct date.

This was attended by a "crowd" of about 30 people at The New Museum of Contemporary Art

It was basically Glenn O'Brien, Chris Stein and Amos Poe telling stories/recollections of the 4 years of TV Party, with clips of the shows playing on a screen in the background. Go to the tvparty.org link I posted for the complete TV Party story, with sales info for the 5 shows currently released (and a documentary) as well as pictures, bios etc.

One story that Go'B told was how Bowie came to a show, but refused to go on camera; instead he went with a woman into the restroom for a half hour (Walter Steding was concerned because Bowie had taken WS's hat).

And the complete unrehersed, pretty much unplanned nature of the show was emphasized, fueled by copious amounts of drugs/alcohol.

Charlie Ahearn (directed "Wild Style" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084904/) was in the audience as well.

Final note: one of the people who became involved with TV Party was Charles Rocket, who was a Saturday Night Live cast member. Was, because on the same SNL show that Blondie was on, he got to know Chris Stein. After saying "fuck" live on SNL he needed a new job[:D] hello TV Party!

Anybody have a video clip of the offending act?
