The Damned- New Album!

[i]"So, Who's Paranoid?" is the first Damned album since 2001's "Grave Disorder."

Sensible describes his group's new album, "So, Who's Paranoid?" as jangling and very much influenced by '60s rock units like the twangy and tuneful Byrds and garage bands such as the Troggs.

The album is available for download at the band's Web site, www.officialdamned.com. It will be available in disc form in the United States on Dec. 12, as well as at the band's shows in San Francisco on Tuesday and San Jose on Wednesday.

With all that writing time, Sensible says, the group was able to fashion a filler-free set, which features its best songs written during the past six years or so.[/i]

I like "Under the Wheels" and "Little Miss Disaster", which are signature, driving punk, Damned. "Danger to Yourself", "Just Hangin" and "A Nation Fit for Heroes" sound great as well. I keep thinking, Damn, these guys sound too young and energetic to have been around this long!

"THE DAMNED TO APPEAR ON THE 'LATE LATE SHOW' WITH CRAIG FERGUSON
The Damned will be recording 2 songs for the ‘Late Late Show’ with Craig Ferguson on CBS.

They will perform 2 songs, one old classic and one from the new album, which will be aired on consecutive nights: the 30th and 31st of October.

Pinch saw an interview with Craig in Rolling Stone where he mentioned that his ideal show would contain a performance by The Damned, so he put the wheels in motion to make it happen. Apparently, this inspired the show to go for a punky flavour over Halloween week, with more classic bands and interviews in the offing."
