Blir, I always vaguely figured 1963 might be related to the Kennedy shooting, but have never really deciphered the lyrics to put the whole story together. Is it supposed to be from Lee Harvey Oswald's point of view? Is there any definitive agreement on the meaning of the song?

Accounts are that New Order were just clowning around, saying that it was from Jackie O's point of view, with JFK supposedly taking out a hit on Jackie herself to be with a lover...with it going awry obviously. Who knows. But it is about event that in a sense.
