John Ruskan "I Am A Model" CD help--is it CDR?

Postby budaniel » Fri Dec 05, 2008 4:39 am

Hey all,

I got this CD for a reasonable price from cdbaby (I was on a waiting list, and was informed it had just become available). i received it today, but it's a blue CDR! Definitely has a well printed label on the disc, and a complete sleeve that looks professionally done but definitely printed. Is this simply the way this CD was released our have I been duped?

Well, it came directly from John himself so if you consider that being duped....are you happy with the overall sound of the disc? I have everything he has released and am quite pleased with the production and even more happy that nobody but John got any profit from it.

I should add that since John re-released I am a Model, he remastered and remixed everything from the original LP release including the tracklist and 1 or 2 songs. I do prefer the LP version but the CD is a welcome addition.

Thanks for responding Max. As long as it was released as a CDR, I'm okay with it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't released on an official pressing and CDbaby was just duping copies and selling them off as originals.
