Bananarama- Love Comes premiere

Well somehow I expected more. "Move in My Direction" was more melodical and groovy. Something iritating about this song.

Always a good sign a song will suck is when they sex-up the video , but at least SOMETHING good comes out of it. [:D]

Love it. Best I've heard from them in years and actually sounds like it comes from this millennium with its electro/retro 80s feel. This is what I was expecting from their last album, and instead we got a bunch of disco influenced house that sounded like something from the early 90s.

At least they should have tried to sound more like Little Boots and not their lable mates Girls Aloud.

Urrrrrrgh.....horrible, rehashed 1990's Euro-techno-pop. Call it a day, ladies.

Yep, modern. If it sounded like 1993, it would sound like La Bouche, Le Click, the Real McCoy or the disco house songs from Bananarama's last album. This sounds like September, Lasgo, Infernal...all aritsts from this decade.

heh, I was gonna bring up September.... especially "Cry for you" which uses a melody hook very similar to Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy.... maybe too close, without giving any credit [:D]

or other ones like Daniela (Push it up), Danny (All on you), Nexx (Paralized) or Kate Ryan's update of Ella Elle....
or even something as well-known as Madonna's - Hung Up, also modern Europop track

overall the new Bananarama track is allright, not as bad as many are making it out to be

Meh..
Agreed that if you hadn't mentioned the release date, I would have pegged it as typical early 90's house fare.

Would sound much edgier and up to date if they used REAL percussion and bass with less fuzzy synths. Perhaps a DJ here or elsewhere could rework it as such?[8)]

their new album has a few very delicious dance tunes, some even better than Love Comes. I heard a preview on youtube and liked what I heard [:D]

I agree InvisibleMan. I think it's the best album they've done in years--reminds me of Cyndi Lauper's recent fantastic dance album. Totally modern electro pop that captures the spirit of the artists' fun 80s tracks.
