Rick Mendes and the Probers

Postby snyshine » Mon Jan 04, 2010 3:58 am

Was wondering if anyone had any sound clips, pictures or videos of the Probers. This would be in the early 80's.

Rick Mendes was my father(RIP July 2004).

Cindy(one of the go-go dancers when the band first came out) is my mother.

Thanks!
Samantha (I was born September 3rd, 1982)

Oh, i have the''Mad at the world''mini lp of Probers,a really great power pop/rock album. The first time i saw it bought it knowing anything from this combo.I think they were from Boston. It's really sad about the death of your father, but i can tell you that i consider the album as one of the most melodic of the early obscure new wave era.Are there really any other songs from the group?

This record is older than you are, young lady. My condolences.

Cindy Sommerio, I presume. And how the heck did they find out about this band in Greece? They were barely even known in Boston.
