Jeffrey Jones, most known for his role as Principal Rooney in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” forgot to do something really important. He failed to update his sex offender registration, according to TMZ.

Jones pled no contest back in 2003 to paying a minor to take sexually explicit photos. He was required to register as a sex offender every year.

According to reports, Jones ignored that requirement in September, which in the eyes of the police is not only a big mistake, but also a felony.

Cops arrested the actor on Wednesday. He was freed on $20,000 bail.
