Fly In The Ointment

Sure, you love the band. Except for one or two songs that you can't stand! Name the 80s band that is near perfection, except for those one or two stupid songs you hate and why.

I'll go with The Cars. The first two albums were genius as well as many songs that followed. However, the pop drivel that is "You Are The Girl" is far removed from the moody, dark beauty of songs like "All Mixed Up", "Good Times Roll", "Bye Bye Love" and "Dangerous Type". I hated seeing one of my favorite bands go Jefferson Starship. Pity.

You are the girl was their poppy single that I loved & I am a huge fan of their dark, weird & poppy. I hate it when a great band stops a certain sound after a few albums & then goes to a sound in the total opposite direction like Wire Train's last couple of albums

Band: Slow Children
Song: Suspense

The song just doesn't match the rest of the album, and there's also a little chime sequence that's out of place within the song. A total trainwreck of a song. IMHO. Unfortunately, it presaged where Pal would go with her work after Slow Children.
