fact is she's featured on a UK 'dance with the stars' type show and getting a web reaction from the mass public..

Here's mine: Minutely better song only when viewed against the rest of her catalog, which is atrocious. The video lacked the horse, which we've come to know as the only talented performer in a Toyah video, so points off for that. The one thing that really annoys me about her was her constant 'I'll keep in touch with my roots, I haven't forgotten where I came from' attitude because the only time she did was when she couldn't whore herself out any more in London due to all her orifices prolapsing.
At least Duran Duran were honest about it and only came back to Birmingham when on tour.

well, Frank, in all honestly ,she has remained true to the UK, obviously no interest in America at all,never even tried, closest she got was the sad 'tribute', "The Warrior" by Scandal ,,mid 80's poor Patty Smythe all Toyah-ed out, and the U.S. audience was clueless("Warrior Rock" and all that...)
I'm sure that THIS will warm your heart a bit, here's the reason for all those 'trending' yahoo u.k. hits, from the UK "Let's Dance For Comic Relief -Fundraiser"; they're in the finals, it seems,they'll be on again this weekend..

Forgot to answer this - I actually was never a great fan of the Police for exactly that reason. Sting was a poseur, and has made it quite clear on numerous occasions that he disliked "punk" and simply used it as a stepping stone to further his career as a schmaltzy AOR lite-FM adult contemporary solo artist. A few songs I am rather fond of: "Invisible Sun", "Don't Stand So Close to Me", "So Lonely", etc. But, that doesn't mean I still don't think they were sort of douchey.
I also don't recall Culture Club ever dissing or "using" the punk scene as merely a convenient jumping off point that they despised in order to further their pop aspirations. Jon Moss in particular was involved in the punk scene from the beginning and was in such bands as London, Nipple Erectors and the Damned. Boy George has always praised the punk scene as a movement that he felt was welcoming to him. That said, I'm not a huge Culture Club fan either.
