Three Or More

Amazing how many careers can be built on just one hit album. Sometimes just one hit song.

And there a quite a few bands with 2 great albums. Ex: The Cars, Go Gos, Duran Duran (blasphemy, I know).

I'm looking for three or more stellar, "must have" albums from the same New Wave/Punk artist (excluding greatest hits packages please).

I think I could make a good case for:

U2- Boy (1980), War (1983), The Joshua Tree (1987)

The Police- Reggatta de Blanc (1979), Zenyattà Mondatta (1980), Synchronicity (1983)

The Clash- London Calling (1979), Sandinista! (1980), Combat Rock (1982)

Ok I'm giving Combat Rock some leeway here based on carryover credit from the amount of great material from the previous 2 releases which is way more than 2 albums' worth.


Who else? Interested to see what other NWO members come up with.

The only one I disagree with is The Clash. Would add The Clash and take away Sandinista & Combat Rock giving them just two. After looking thru my cd's I see what you mean. I could make arguments for:
