Do any of you have any good compilation lps from the early 80's?

In the U.K. they were big at the time.
My favourite is one called Star Traks: it had the usual Sci fi/ soft porn picture of a woman on the cover and contains some great tunes:
Sparks, When I'm with you
Peter Gabriel, Games without Fronteirs
Martha and the Muffins , Echo Beach,
Blondie Atomic
New Music, Living By Numbers.
The Regents ( UK one hit wonders:fantastic track)

But it also contained Billy Ocean, Rupert Holmes etc
A great compilation which highlighted how good chart music was then.

I have some "virgin" compilations that have odd blends on them too.Then there's "cash cows" and the "some bizzarre" compilation too

It was intended to mean "also" not the number two (no biggee). But mine has the original "sad day" by blancmange, girl with the patent leather face original etc...I have the from Brussles with love as well, very good durutti column and fripp too.

Hey Schwenko, Some Bizzarre did have a second best of compilation released in 1985 but it was called "If you cant please yourself, you can't please your soul" released in 1985 ,but I do not have that one.

Great Punk comps are Riotous Assembly, Punk & Disorderly 1-3, Burning Ambitions, This Is Boston Not LA, Life Is ______ So Why Not _____ (there were like 4 albums in this series)

another great compilation is an atlanta aera compilation with some great power pop and wawe bands like the Basics , swimming pools Ks and some more bands

Here's one of D.C. bands that you can buy on CD direct from Henry Rollins. I just picked it up but have not listened to it yet since I have all those [b][i]other[/i][/b] great homemade comps I have to listen to first.
