Name That Tune Volume 15

Postby fritzb » Sat Nov 06, 2004 9:27 am

Name That Tune Volume 15[/b]

Time for another edition of the ever popular Name That Tune[/b] game. After the last game's trip into the mysterious world of the 12" mix, we've gone back to standard versions for this edition. The exception is the very last song (#25), which is a 12" Extended Mix. I've decided to continue with the 25 song format, since it seems to improve participation. As with all the games, it starts out with some easier more familiar tracks to get you warmed up and finishes with some more obscure material to challenge the resident experts. [8D]

There are 25 songs clips. The game is on a 100 points basis (2 point for artist, 2 point for title). There are 2 seconds of silence between song clips. Download your response form below and email it to me for tabulation when you're finished (my email address is on the form). Make sure to put your forum screen names on your answers, so I know who you are. I will send the Answer Sheet to everyone who sends me their responses (if you don't hear from me within 24 hours, I probably didn't get your email). Don't post your responses here!

Here's the link for the response form (my email address is on it):

Here's the song sampler link:
NameThatTune15.mp3

The game will end on Friday November 19 at 4PM EST[/b].

Good Luck! [:)]

Well Kimiiii, that was indeed an empty email, cause it disappeared in cyberspace and never arrived on my end. Please try sending it again. [:I]

And for the record, I've never claimed that all of these tracks are easy. It's quite likely that some nev

Upon trying out the game on the first listen, I'm breezing along until song 13, where I'm stopped dead in my tracks for the rest of the game. And what's killing me is that I know a few of the songs in that dead area, but they're not coming to me yet. I'

Well it appears this edition of the game is a bit tougher than I predicted. So far the early respondants are hitting the wall around #14 and getting only a few tracks after that. [B)]

Currently the average score is a meager 37 points. I'm sure this

Safe to say this will be another sub-50pts effort. The only one I got easily was the last one but that goes without saying..

My excuse is most of these tracks were hits only in America and I'm sticking to it! [;)]

No, I didn't. Did you send it to the address on the form? I routinely check my spam filter for false positives, but I didn't see it. Please send it again. [B)]

Just received my results back and my answers were 100% correct! [8D]

Yep 42 points, my best score in a while! [:D]

Should of got #7 though, quite annoyed about that.

Kimiiii - you've given me an idea! [8D]

I'm gonna put together a Name That Tune - Beginner's Edition[/b] with all big hits and essential New Wave classics for folks, like yourself, who don't have the encyclopedic knowledge of the genre that our reg
