A little different spin on just the singalong. I'm talking bad new wave or 80s, other genres, disco, anything that you might not want this crowd to catch you singing, hmmm?

For me, any Led Zeppelin will do the trick. I ain't joking woman I got to ramble!

But Springsteen's "Point Blank" came on the Pod early this morning. Holy crap, I couldn't believe I still knew every word. It's a classic tragic American love story:

Ha, ha, I've been known to play a stripped down, acoustic version of Springsteen's I'm On Fire. For a while I was also playing America's Horse With No Name on the six string. For me, it's late 80's /early 90's hit rap songs. I can rap right along with Baby Got Back, The Humpty Dance, Tennessee, Jump Around etc. Really though, I'm not even embarrassed to admit that.

"Morning Train" by Sheena Easton. I have it on one of those cheap-o "Hits Of The 80's" CD's and I was sitting in NYC traffic singing along and bopping my head until I realised that everyone on the sidewalk was craning their necks to see who was blasting this tune.

My God, Sheena Easton was super fine too.

I absolutely can not stop myself from singing Peter Cetera's Glory of Love. Funny thing is, I once threw this song on a CD I gave to a friend for laughs, and he loves it now, and once in his car we were at a stoplight singing the hell outta this song. It's like it's so ludicrous you don't even care.

I also have to stop myself from singing Air Supply and The Carpenters often.

Ugh, I cannot STAND that dang song. I don't think I'm doing myself any favors by knowing all the words, too. It's like a bad dream.

I found myself singing along to Caribbean Queen on the way home from work. I embarrassed myself, though nobody was around.

Also, just to piss my fiend off, I'll sing a really lispy version of Puttin' On The Ritz--she goes into fits of uncontrollable anger, but it's sooo worth it.
