For an excellent New Wave band from the 80's to the early 90's,they put out some of the sweetest and nicest Bubblegum with some great harmonies.I just love their material.By far my favorite album by Book Of Love was the Candy Carol album. It had some great things going for it,such as the wonderful harmonies, and the fact that almost each song once it got into your head that you could never get it to leave, such is their song "Sunny Day" By far the best song on the whole album from Candy Carol,at least in my opinion.
Doers anyone else share my same opinion? Are there still any Book of Love fans out there today? Does anyone notice that the introduction leading into the first song on Candy Carol, sounds exactly like Tommy James's hit "Draggin The Line? It's an exact steal.
Love Bubble the Book of Love's last album was also another great album.I really don't think that Book Of love ever did a bad album during their whole time together.Would love to find someone who has their complete video collection or a live concert of them on videotape.Maybe we will get lucky in the future and the band will come out with a DVD? I would love that for sure.I just can't get enough(no pun intended Depeche Mode) of their songs and music as it is.
