And wolvie, I'm probably the only one here who can appreciate your Boney M reference. Amazing that a song about some dead russian could become a hit. Those europeans would buy into ANYTHING, even prototypical Milli Vanilli's.

I've seen millions of those threads relating Ian Curtis to Kurt Cobain in different sites... but you probably know my opinion about this... don't ya??? I'd better drop it..but I'd probably be kicked out of the site. Anyway, I like Nirvana as I'm a child of the 90s.

Imagine a parallel Mechi.... instead of worshipping JD, she'd worship Blind Melon (hahahaha)... instead of dancing Blue Monday on a speaker, she'd be jumping at "Jeremy" (ohhh, I really like that song but well...), and instead of drinking, being into drugs. Spooky.....[:0]

I like the Parallel Mechi!

I even like...uh...sorta..like "Jeremy" now. I hated it when it came out (I was firmly in the Nirvana camp in the "Great Pearl Jam War of 1992"). I hear it now and I think back to my younger self...a world of possibilities...dreams.....aspirations. Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Damn!!

If I hear Blind Melon's "No Rain" I immediately think of a bar in Pearl River, NY and college girls holding little plastic cups of beer over their heads and whooping it up on the dancefloor.

I also like the parallel Mechi.. but she's not that parallel.. she's just one of the many Mechis that coexist in one.

The only thing that Mechi doens't do of all the mentioned is taking drugs.... I have few neurons and I want to keep them, they don't regenrate (I think that they proved that some do but I'm not sure... I'll have to search it).

Yikes, Blir! In THIS parallel universe, I've only attempted the goatee thing once back in the mid-90's ... it was not a good thing. I wonder if I have the emotional outbursts of Spock in that universe?

dammit i missed this because of sleeping..

NOOOOOO!!!...im never going back as i feel really old there! a lot of those kids werent even born when i was going to rock clubs!!!

maybe this is how some of the people on here feel about the youngsters that frequent this site...

im loving the grunge fashion discussions though! i still wear a lot of that stuff and remember the whole "kinderwhore" look!!

i'm trying to find the opposites and doppelgangers of the members here in the regulars there!...this may take a while...

Huh? I only know of one Screaming Trees. They were around from 85 to 95. That's the one they're talking about on that forum. Had a hit in 1992 with "Nearly Lost You". There's another Screaming Trees? Screaming Trees U.K.?[?]

They were a synthpop band from here who best known track is "Tangiers" and released the album "Fracture in Time". They're listed here:

Changed their name to Success in the late 80s and released "World Crash", a much better album than "Fracture in Time" but received little recognitiion and split up.
