<br>Hey glokstadt, I wouldn't worry much over this notice from youtube. NBC has always policed their stuff on the net, and especially on youtube. If you hadn't included 'snl' in your title or keywords, your clip probably would've been left alone for the time being. Now that Google is trying to make nice with record/tv/movie companies, all clips that aren't either homemade or paid advertisements will likely be deleted in the coming months.
I realized that after I posted it, thinking why did I put SNL in the title, duh...

WooHoo...Arizona Dan scores a point. Actually when you think about it, assinine is accurate when referring to you. Let's call it a Freudian slip.

Why not just answer the question Mr. Principles? Or is it that you can't because you've been caught with your pants down? (now there's something I don't need a picture of)

As far as being superior, no, I've never thought that, although our encounters go a long way to making me feel that way. I asked a simple question: Why is it you feel you can infringe on the copyright protection of others, while demanding respect for your copyrighted works?

Feel free not to answer, I'll do it for you, "I, am two faced." It's the only answer possible.

Dan Coogan is indeed a name, so I'm guilty of name calling, and you're guilty of being a hypocrite; a descriptive, and not surprisingly, appropriate. So, I guess I'm also guilty of descriptive calling. If you're still talking about assinine, well, if the shoe fits...

For a third and final time: I asked a simple question: Why is it you feel you can infringe on the copyright protection of others, while demanding respect for your copyrighted works?

We all want to hear.

David, You are like a rabid dog. You are the one who will not let it go. You are the one posting copyrighted material, not me. Yell and scream all you want. Just because you type it, does not make it so.

Uh Dan, you did post the youtube clip of the Maher show to this board. That is copyrighted material. Now I don't think you uploaded it to youtube in the first place so you are not guilty in that respect. It's also not your job to police youtube. The copyright holder or Maher himself may have posted the clip to promote the show so wherever it goes from there is youtube's responsibility.

Are you a hypocrite for trying to protect your own work but share the work others? Yeah sure. Most of us are hypocrites in the digital age. There are very few angels (except eight6) . It's up to the copyright holders to protect themselves the best they can and in this digital age it's not easy. I could very easily use your Toronado pictures without you knowing. That's the chance you take when you publish your work to the web. Your copyright is more an advertisement for your work than a deterrent. As you say, standard procedure.

Rabid dog? If you would have answered the question, I would have stopped long ago.

Last post on this...I guess you'll have to add to the list the descriptives the term "liar":

http://www.nwoutpost.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16088

that's YOU posting from HBO's copyrighted show. Youtube has no authority to supercede copyright law and you know it, being the apparent copyright law expert you are. I have posted copyrighted music here, for the most part who hasn't? What amazes me is your continual denials, esp. when you've left a trail of breadcrumbs anyone can follow.

I couldn't be "as principled" as you...I couldn't sink that low. Thanks for proving my point.

Nice...except it's more applicable in your case.

Unlike Dan, I never claimed to be one. That was the whole point of this exercise.

I had you next on my list. Would you like to re-schedule?

I'll take that as a "yes" to the re-schedule.

But seriously, this NBC thing is a little scary...which is the effect they're probably going for. I know they've sent out Cease & Desists even to the service providers of Bittorent users. I had previously thought Bittorent was fairly anonymous, leading me to believe that they're possibly using plants.

I'd just be careful.
