Depeche Mode and The Smiths and later stuff by the Cure. I just can't get that geeked up about them. I don't dislike them, well maybe with the exception of the Smiths. Maybe I'm closer to indifference with these groups.

You won't get any argument from me, I think my hatred of U2 is becoming legendary!

Although a few of your choices were like STABS to the heart (how can you NOT love the 5-52s?!)

I never much went too crazy for Depeche Mode, either. Some good son

I really like the Vince Clarke era Depesche Mode. Other than that all I like is "People Are People".

Never liked the Fall, saw 'em once and still didn't really get it. Wire after their 2nd album. "Pink Flag" and "Chairs Missing" had a few good songs

The only one I can think of is The Jam although I do like few of their tunes.

And I absolutely LOVE The Fall and Guided By Voices. But I guess I can see how some may be annoyed by them.

Diamandia Galas
Nina Hagen (oh, how I have TRIED to like her)
Bjork (I don't thijink so)
Wire (later albums)
Lydia Lunch (except for "Queen of Siam"

I never saw the attraction to Depeche Mode or the Cure. I pissed of some modern synthpoppers one time by asking why most of them sound as boring as Depeche. I guess thats what i enjoyed about New Wave, it can have Depeche Mode and XTC, there were no rule

Bronski Beat
B 52'S

just to name a few. Yeah , a few songs I like by these bands but they are far over-rated. Have to agree about Depeche Mode--some stuff I like but I can only take so much of them.
