Yes! Lots of old OMD explored electronica, electricity, radio waves, etc. For robots and electronic circuitry, you can't go wrong with Gary Numan and Kraftwerk.

I think Sheena Easton did a song called Telephone? Very catchy and not so NW but it was probably her most NW track.

Btw, I have never heard the original version the Nerves' Hanging on the Telephone. Does it sound anything like Blondie's version? Is it better or not as good or totally different?
