<B>GAME UPDATE[/b]

I've held off with any game updates until now because there were too few responses in to be statistically significant.

Currently the average score stands at 46 points. The scores are all over the place. The last 2 responses I received were separated by a whopping 50 points! Despite the apparent difficulty only 3 songs remain unidentified (#18, #20, #23) and #25 still needs a correct title. All of the others have a least one correct response so far.

I guess most folks are going to wait 'til the last moment to send in their responses. Don't wait too long! [;)]

Word of advice to all you sloppy alcoholics out there. When you turn in your answers? Which you keep on a notepad? Which you're copying and pasting off of that notepad into an email? Yeah, make sure you're halfway sober first. Or else you might do things like, you know, accidentally snip out stuff and not notice... like, say, oh... the correct title to #25.

<font color="black"><B> NAME THAT TUNE VOLUME 26 (</font><font color="orange">HALLOWEEN EDITION</font><font color="black">) RESULTS!!![/b]</font>

Here are the complete results for Name That Tune 26 (Halloween Edition)!

Well it's pretty obvious from the low participation rate and very low scores that this game was brutally tough. Aside from a few well known tunes, this game featured a whole bunch of obscure singles, album cuts, and novelty songs that probably never graced the airwaves in most markets. With that said, only 3 song remained unidentified, which is pretty remarkable. Thanks to everybody who found the courage to send in their almost empty answer sheets!

1st Place - SomeoneSomewhere & MikeP (tied with 66 points) <img src="http://mywebpages.comcast.net/fritzb1/imnotworthy.gif" border="0">
3rd Place - Blir (48 points)
4th Place - Egg-Roger & KMFeit1969 (tied with 36 points)

Number of Players = 10
Average Score = 38 points
Low Score withheld to protect the innocent <img src="http://home.comcast.net/~fritzb1/ghost2.gif">

As usual, I've linked mp3s for a number of the less well known or hard-to-find songs (just in time for your New Wave Halloween Party). Enjoy! <img src="http://home.comcast.net/~fritzb1/tarantula.gif">

That's so messed up. Oh, well, guess I should be glad it wasn't on a score of 1000, eh? Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go skin some live cats and play my heavy metal records backwards.

...funny thing is I just picked up that Rare & Remixed disc with Witchcraft on it about 2 weeks ago...so I KNEW it was familiar...took me about 20 minutes to find out where I had heard it :-D

Later!
