This is a great idea. I think there are a lot of defunct bands out there whose members would surely love to get together and "reunite."

For instance, just think of a Kajagoogoo reunion tour, with Johnny Rotten and Steve Jones at the helm.

Or perhaps a Clash reunion tour, with Dale Bozzio filling in for the late Joe Strummer.

Maybe if it's a real success, they can do the heretofore unthinkable, and get The Smiths back together. Morrissey's not interested? That's okay, because Robert Smith would kill for the gig.

No interest from me since Ocasek isn't involved - that would make it a more legit 'Cars' lineup for me.

Rundgren produced a lot of great stuff - The Furs' "Forever Now" and XTC's "Skylarking" albums are just two new-wave era albums that come to mind. I'm fairly certain that Prairie Prince was the drummer on Skylarking as well. Not that it would influence me to see this Cars lineup though....
