Back in the late 80's, Debbie Harry was on KROQ (106.7 FM) in L.A, and I called in. I called her the Queen of New Wave.

Yeah, everytime I see the video for Walk Like an Egyptian I think the same thing.

Well, I think most of us are answering your question with our "own" queen of new wave in mind because we all have personal favorites but let's face it, the consensus and the history books would mention one name and one name only....Debbie Harry.

Debbie Harry as well. While I probably like a few female singers more, she sort of stood at the forefront and help invent the genre.
