thanks for the latest Wolfeman mix! I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but I eagerly await this aural opportunity with bated breath. The collection of songs looks very intriguing. Most of the stuff you've sent I've never even heard of before. That can be giddily intimidating. Thanks for thinking of me.

Your guys' CDs rock a hard jam. I really like the ones with the above-mentioned "flow"; CDs which really flow together well, such as manekineko's, Blir's, and marv's.

I'll be putting together another CD soon, I tell ya.

I finally got a day off from work.Sat in the dark late at nite listening to your disc.I loved the way you mixed old and current bands together.I did not recognze one band at all with the exception of the Go -Betweens and I never heard that killer tune.You put some great music on both cd's.Not to mention I LOVE the artwork ! Thank you so much ! You must have a fantastic music collection.

Thanks, bowiestation. I'm glad you like them! Actually, I don't have a huge music collection (at least not compared to some people here). I'm just creative in where I get my music--lots of DLs plus the generosity of friends (a couple songs on Broken Glass are from Schwenko). Tim, I'm looking forward to your next mix!

Wow, the Wolfe-Man Mix #6 is one enjoyabvle listen from beginning to end. Excellent choices here with my favorite being Horror Show by the Birthday Massacre. And thanks for putting the Dandy Warhols on it too man! I saw them a few years ago warm up for (I think it was) Saint Etienne. Schwenko could probably come in here and verify, big S.E. fan that he is. My brother came over last night - who is not nor ever was a New Wave head - and even he was digging the mix.

Dandy Warhols and St E not ringing a bell in my cranium. I could be wrong. St E did open for Pulp years ago, and there have been a number of other acts opening for them in the past (Concretes, Stars, Dot Allison, The Magic Numbers)

Marv: Thanks Man. I love the Dandy Warhols too. Did you know that Matisyahu is a Hassidic Jew? Yup. complete with the beard and hat. Boy, is he good or what? But I think my favorite on that mix is Little Tom by Johnny Hickman (of Cracker fame). That song is so damn sad, yet uplifting at the same time. Wolfe-man Mix 7 should be ready to go in 3 weeks. Stay tuned...

Oh, I almost forgot. Garrison Starr opened up for Cracker here 2 years ago at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis. She was so polite and nice to the audience! Then when Cracker came on I got several great pictures of J. Hickman (he was literally 6 feet from me) and I snagged a picture after the show that was autographed by the whole band. See, some artists on my mixes have a deep subtle connection...

I just finished listening to Marie's New Wave electronic continuous mix CD. Nice job! EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! Wow, you really know what gets to me Marie [;)] Depeche Mode, Red Flag, Human League, Camouflage, and more all in one sublime mix - brilliant! And thank you for that wonderful mix of Martin Gore's COMPULSION, a true nugget of perfection from the decade that ruled! You are a true connoisseur when it comes to 80's music.

I'm happy to report that your latest discs were a big hit at a get-together held at our house last week. I played them during a hot, Merlot-fueled round of after-dinner dominos and was asked multiple times who was churning out of ITunes. I even ended up burning Papercuts that night for one of our guests. Thanks for sending those excellent discs! I managed to burn Popgasm and Canadiana for you before my burner wigged out......again. I'll mail them soon.

Another stellar collection, my man! Favorites include Bang! Bang!, the Birthday Massacre and Giant Drag. You are so fortunate to have access to the KDHX music library. I'm jealous. The New Pornographers were in Cincinnati earlier this month but I couldn't get off from work that night. I would have LOVED to seen them live. Been a fan of theirs since the first album (especially "Letter From An Occupant"...killer song.)
