I'm also bummed about WLIR. I drove out east this weekend, and find that 'The Box' sounds just like WXRK.

In hopes of finding one of my favorite internet sites, I searched for the VH1 channel called "Altern80s". It still works, but is well hidden -

I used to live in Long Island back in the 80's. I was a transplant from way-upstate-NY and just loved LIR. I remember when they even tried to syndicate. There was a station in Albany NY among other cities too. WLIR was my first pre-set.

Yeah the feedback is the same all over LIR will be missed. Thanks for all your support in the station I created on Launchcast. Thanks to Maxx's list it is 2000 songs strong and still growing. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it. Give it a list
