i never said they were new wave or power pop,just wanted your opinion.
alot of people feel their latter 3 albums do fall into the power pop genre.
for all of you who are so gung-ho on the meaning of new wave,,let's not forget that POWER POP is a form of new wave !!!!!!!!
alot of the bands listed in the album page on this web site are power pop !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well then I guess you've never heard Billy Connelly's routine about how you're supposed to put on a pair of "wellies", get the sheep's hind legs inside them too and then get it to the edge of a cliff so it pushes back?
It's disgusting, I won't repeat it here.

No debate, Georgie, except these guys weren't power pop either. I think the real issue here is that they don't belong in this forum at all.

An unsubstantiated rumor has the Bay City Rollers as Malcolm's first choice to be the "Sex Pistols" but there was this silly thing about the band playing something other than syrupy, bubble gum rubbish and the Scottish boys balked (very politely and without cussing, of course).
Oops...I must be mistaken. I just re-read the opening post and the Bay City Rollers must be either New Wave or Power Pop. The post says so.
