Hi I'm a newbie here, but a massive synthpop fan especially as I was an original punk who was brought up on Beatles pop and glam rock (Sparks, Roxy, Bowie) and therefore was blown away by Kraftwerk in 1974 before punk thankfully kicked in, but I digress.

There have been some noticeable names mentioned so far in the early synthpop bands category but here are some obvious and perhaps not so obvious types you may agree or disagree with from late 70's early 80's: -
