I recognized it too, but I had it tagged as the group Body Count, which Ice T fronted back in the day.

That is so ironic/ funny that y'all are mentioning Ice-T.....just last night I was watching him on [i]Law and Order[/i], which I watch very irregularly. Last night it was all about him. He looks as tough and ornery as ever! Was he East Coast or West Coast in those early days ?

I just got to your CD's this weekend, finally. I know, I know...I can hear you yelling at me! [V]

1) "Papercuts" is very listenable. Nice mix - reminds me of your "Sweet & Sour", somewhat. Favorite groups were:Broadcast, Morcheeba, Zero 7, Natacha Atlas, Jenn Charles/Merriweather, Portishead, Stereo Total, St. Etienne. Good stuff!

2)"Broken Glass" is total kick ass!!! Loved every song. Excellent mix of newer and older. I'm such a fuddy-duddy when it comes to post-punk that I always think nothing could top the music from 77-82 so I seldom give newer stuff a listen, but these newer songs are awesome! The National, The Frames, The New Pornographers, Debutantes, Chameleons...etc. Thanks so much! Totally enjoying it! [8D]

In high school, I had the handicaps of an ultra religious mother that
censored everything I read and listened to. The other was that I didn't have the money to acquire everything I heard, and if I did, it wasn't readily available. We had a terrific radio station here in Seattle, KYYX - The wave and another on AM, KJET. I remember hearing so much, that lives on in my memory in brilliant bits and pieces. I would be both indebted and privileged, if anyone would be willing to share their gems. I L-O-V-E this music!! The community and music I've found here, is putting the wind back in my sails. I love some of the retro stuff I've heard but there's no substitute for the original. I enjoy putting mixes together, and I'm perfectly willing to share them with anyone that's interested. Thanks to everyone, it's great to be here.
