When I was at college there was a woman I always danced with to "Ca Plane Pour Moi." It didn't matter what either of us was doing or who we were with. When that song came on we found each other and hit the floor.

I'd still be a virgin standing in the corner if it weren't for New Order's Blue Monday and Bizarre Love Triangle!

Absolutely ORGASMIC!!! You guys can really pick the songs!!!! The only thing I would add to your lists is, "Animal Song" by The Europeans!!! Now that was a floor-burner!!!

Sorry, but we used to laugh at people who got up and danced to Devo, Talking Heads, Kraftwerk.....

We were listeners....we were into the intellectual aspect of the music. I understand that bands like Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet and such were "dance" bands but we listened beyond that part of it.

I always said that as soon as a band had a video that had background "dancers", they were done. Those videos were terrible. I bet more than half of the great new wave bands were forced by the label to incorporate some kind of dancing so the "kids will enjoy it more". Just goes to show that labels are and will forever be "out of touch" with what is going on.

My opinion....you can probably tell that I don't like dancing.

Ok, a bunch of kids with rubber spines flailing about on stage....I had a dog who used to have seizures that did just about the same thing. I still rest my case.

Max (I still don't like dancing)

Thanks for trying to convince me that dancing is cool but, I have yet to see anything that I thought cool EXCEPT David Byrne and he is the sole exception.

You know, I should point out that everything I post about this topic should be taken with a grain of salt....tongue in cheek....nudge, nudge, wink, wink....

If you dance, then more power to you.[:D]

Whew!..
I was beginning to think the thread was going to mutate into a dance vs no dance bashfest[B)][:o)]

No sweat really [;)]. Some of us has it and some don't. After all this is a music talk site and music and dance do kinda go together.
