OK, that's pretty cool. I'm glad to hear that Luke's is still around, I haven't been there in about 10 years.

A few days after I sent your CDs - I received in the mail a 2CD compilation of all of Neutral Nation's recordings, compiled by the band. I remembered a lot more than I thought I would.

So I just got back from Florida a few hours ago and packages from Medication and egg-roger were waiting for me. New tunes for the commute will slightly lessen my unhappiness at having to return to work tomorrow. Reviews of the last received comps coming... eventually.

Okay,some kind soul is feeling sorry for this ole country boy in 'Bama ! Who is the phantom mailer with no return address...who are you ? I received 2 cd's-one has a cool design on the cover,the other is titled "Just say Moe".Judging by the title I knew I was in for a treat. I recognized maybe three songs total and love them. I'm listening to them again this time for the full throttle effect thru my Grados and home stereo....family is asleep as it's 2:54am Central in my neck of the woods. I would like to make a feeble attempt to pay you back for your generosity !

Two are headed your way.Thank you for the ones you sent ! Is that really Oingo Boingo ? Al DiMeola was a nice surprise. Last time I saw him live was at Dantes down the Hatch in Atlanta back in '82 .Enjoying them again as I type .

I got it from MCA's "Bad Dog Sampler", which also includes Wire Train, Lightning Seeds, Concrete Blonde, Richard Barone & more.
The vocals were done by country artist Michael Stanton.
"Country Skin" originally appeared on the soundtrack for the movie "Night Breed".

Interesting knowing what was up behind this Boingo song, because I shamefully have to admit I do not like it. That type of country I never liked. I'll give it another listen, though. The rest of your recent CD is swell...but I was truly wondering what was going on with this song!

Dang! I was hoping this song would inspire you to go out and buy a leather belt with your name on it.

Actually, I didn't expect anyone to like it musically. I just thought it was funny; a music-lyric incongruity.

Hi all! I'm not sure who sent me the "Against the Grain - Obscure 80's" 2 disc set but both cases have the same disc. They both contain vol. 1. The disc is awesome. My favorite track is The Sound, Judgement. This is very much my perspective of the 80's. Not too commercial, avant garde, nice & catchy with a heavy alternative edge. So I'm DYING to get my hands on the vol. 2! Please come forward and identify yourself!

Going forward, if I can make a suggestion and ask everyone to just label their discs with their screen names up here to facilitate commentary and communication. That would be greeeeeaaaaat. (marvy does his best manager impression from Office Space.) [:D] Up to 15 discs now and it starts to get confusing who sent me what[;)]

Hey MarvyMarv,

So it was you who received both volume 1 cds!! I was wondering who would be the other victim of my collating error! Randy was the first, so I knew their had to be someone else who got the opposite. It was you! OK, sorry for the mix-up. I'll be glad to send you Volume 2, as that is the correct volume you should have received.

Glad you enjoyed volume 1. Volume 2 has more familiar stuff but it includes some of my all time favorite songs-the songs are still obscure in comparison to the top 40 of that time. [;)] I hope to make future volumes over the next few months. Stay tuned...
