David: Why was he in prison?

Linda: Well to hear him tell it those two guys were dead when he got there.

Lost In America

Lost In America was a great film -- very funny.

David: "From now on, you will never be allowed to use the words 'nest' or 'egg' ever again!"

David: "Say it! Say it! Say 'I lost the nest-egg.' Go on, say it!"

David: Maybe I didn’t explain the nest egg to you. If you had understood … You know it’s a very sacred thing, the nest egg, and if you had understood the Nest Egg Principle, as we will now call it in the first of many lectures that you will get, because if we are ever to acquire another nest egg, we both have to understand what it means. The nest egg is a protector, like a god, and we sit under the nest egg and we are protected by it. Without it, no protection. Want me to go on? It pours rain. Hey! The rain hits the egg and pours off the side. Without the egg? Wet. It’s over. But you didn’t understand it and that’s why we’re where we are.

Linda: I understood the nest egg …

David: Please do me a favor. Don’t use the word. You may not use that word. It is off-limits to you. Only those in this house that understand the nest egg may use it. And don’t use any part of it either. Don’t use “nest.” Don’t use “egg.” You’re out in the forest, you can point - the bird lives in a round stick. And … and … you have things over easy with toast.

You all have got to STOP this!! I'm laughing so hard, I'm PERSPIRING!!!

Here are a couple of my faves:

From "Rain Man":
Charlie: [Pulls over, gets out of the car and yells] WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE WHERE YOU BUY UNDERWEAR? WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? UNDERWEAR IS UNDERWEAR! IT IS UNDERWEAR WHEREVER YOU BUY IT! IN CINCINNATTI OR WHEREVER

From "Sixteen Candles":
Samantha: I loathe the bus. There has to be a more dignified mode of transportation.

OR

Samantha's dad: Why do you think you're a dork? I don't think you're a dork. I don't think Mom thinks you're a dork.

Samantha: Mike thinks I'm a dork.

Samantha's dad: Mike is a dork.

From one of the best TV shows of the decade to one of the funniest movies-

Frank: It's true what they say: Cops and women don't mix. It's like eating a spoonful of Drano, sure it'll clean you out, but it'll leave you hollow inside.

From the show-

"How did you get in here and what do you do?

I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith".

Heeeeree's Johnny!

That was the Shining of course...but dammit I was trying to remember something from Judd Nelson's stellar turn in New Jack City. You remember him- he's the cop on the edge, unhindged! And you can tell he's the rebel cause he wears shades, a goatee, and unbuckled boots.

Oh yeah and his gun may go off at any minute--WATCH OUT!! BANG! BANG!! Hey Cuz, wuzzup? Chill, it's all good.

Yes!

KROQ used to use Kirk saying "Oh my god" from the transporter accident in that first deliciously horrid movie. They'd often use it as a drop-in whenever someone cursed in a song or something else shocking was said. I wish someone had a library of all their quotes and drop-ins.

This is great Ben. In fact, I've used the clip a couple of times on the NWO to remind "x" to shut up! [:D]

I've also used this Spinal Tap clip to help give my musical review:

"Nitpicking" hysterical.

How about:

"Feed Me Seymour"

"I thrill when I drill a bicuspid
it's swell though they tell me I mal-a-just-ted"

in regards to an injured rabbit
Oldsen: Why don't we kill it. Hit it with something hard?
Mac: You've already done that with a two-ton automobile!
