Thanks for posting those songs. It's always cool to hear what the rest of the world was listening to during NW's heyday. New Wave really did rule the 80's (for us, it still does)! Reagan may have been given the credit for tearing down the wall, but I think Kajagoogoo should be given the credit [:D]. At this point, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that there was some Arabian New Wave. Okay, I'm lying, it would surprise me.

It is NW, but I think Brainstorm is a brilliant band. They`re from Latvia, right?

Brainstorm - oki, but i dont like so much that type of music, sorry.
Dzeltenie pastnieki (Yellow Postmans)are New Wave group nr 1 in Latvia (from 80s).
But Raadio is from 2005:

The only act I know from Latvia is Brainstorm. They haven't got any connections with the 80's music, as far as I know, but I like few songs of them, I have heard.

Sveiki MAGICs !
when I lived in Latvia from 1992- 1994, Jauns Meness (spelling, atvainojiet!) were popular. I first heard them live at a concert in Jurmala, and they were fabulous! Their sound was like U2's early stuff.
Are they still around ?
Vai tu dzivoji in Riga ?
