Theme to Margaret - Level 42
Roxanne - The Police
Hosanna - Ultravox
Venus - Bananarama (well, she was a greek goddess...)
Donna you wanna me baby - Rank Sinatra (Sorry. The smartass in me came out)
China Girl - David Bowie (well, it was a rassler's name...)
Elizabeth - 4 out of 5 Doctors
Carmella - Taco (you didn't say "good" new wave)
Rio - Duran Duran
Vanity Kills - ABC (you know, that chick who was a "Nasty girl")
Angel Face - Shock
She Sheila - The Producers
Caroline, No - Maggotron (It's more elektro than new wave, but still...)
Enola Gay - OMD ("Gay" was a common name back in the good ol' days)
Rosemarie - Hubert Kah
Jewel - Propaganda
Bimbo - Yello (okay, it's a stretch...)

That's all I can think of right now. Sorry if any of these duplicate any previous listings.

Enola Gay really doesn't refer to a girl but to the B29 which dropped the Atomic bomb on Nagasaki. Although during WW2 they named the planes after girls.

Hosanna by Ultravox isn't a girls name but something used in church literature. Rio is a song about the city, not about a girl.

Denise - Blondie
Marliese - Fischer-Z
Oh Patti - Scritti Politti
Lena - Twee Belgen
Medusa - Clan Of Xymox (although a Greek godess also, like Venus)
Jeanny - Falco
Julia - Eurythmics
Anna - Trio

Well, look at Mister Anal Retentive.[:D] Okay, you got me. I just figured anything counted, intent of the songwriters or not. (I actually know a girl named Hosanna. I guess she don't count, huh?[:D]) Vanessa Del Rio (smut queen) or Rio Rita (comic strip heroine) must not count, either.

Correction - it was in fact the name of the pilot's mother. Hey mom, this is for you! [B)]
