New album from The Cure

Not sure I'm in love with the Ross Robinson production technique. The band just played it live in the studio. The Cure are typically a lot more lush in production. But some of it is great. Robert says it's the best since Disintegration. Not sure about that yet (on first couple of listens), but it's interesting.

Yeah, the production has been a problem for me too. I know that Korn and Evanescence site The Cure as an influence but I hear a little too much of their sound on this record. Still, I'd rather hear The Cure than those guys any day.

25 years and counting, well, at least for Robert Smith. I am in love with their new single, The End of the World, from the new album. The Cure is still all that and more. I hope scary-old-fat Bob(I say this with the utmost affection for him) can keep it

Y'know, the single grew on me and I was anxious to listen to the album..and now that I have..several times...I just don't care for it. I'm for the Cure though so if it appeals to a new audience, more power to 'em.

I like several tracks off the new album. Couldn't tell you which ones, as I've been playing it in the car and don't know any of the song titles. It's better than Bloodflowers, which was miles better than the one before it, so I'm not complaining. The p
