Kraftwerk were one of my favorite bands when I was younger. I was always impressed with how they used electronic music to create something different. Two other early German bands that had a large influence on my musical tastes were Faust and Einsturzend

They'd be no Daft Punk, Green Velvet, or any electroclash and techno without the Huge influence Kraftwerk gave to music.
Their latest album Tour de France Soundtracks sees them back to form and I can't wait to see them on their tour next month

Kraftwerk touring this year! Four dates in the UK - I am not sure about the rest of the world.
Pick up the Karl Bartos album "Communication" - much better than ther Tour De France album that came out last year.

Kraftwerk, to me, is the be-all and end-all. They were the first "underground" band I heard (1975 / Autobahn, I was 7) and have been a die-hard fan since Computer World in 1981. I was rather disappointed with The Mix as I personally don't see the point
