Anyone else remember the program Nightflight which was aired weekend nights on the fledgling USA network?

It was truly a new wave dream-it had Peter Ivers' New Wave Theater-Videos-movies like "Ladies and Gentlemen .. the Fabulous Stains."

It wasn't so easy being new wave in central wisconsin-even with access to a good college radio station (How Good-Well, I was a deejay there for many a year!?, one bar that played new wave music, and one record store (owned by the club owner) that had a good selection of music I craved.

Stuff like Nightflight helped folks like me have access to this stuff.

Any other memories out there of small town people who found a way to brak out of the Styx-Journey-REO straightjacket of the early 1980s. Do we need a support group?

I also recall New Wave Th

Someone tapped me for some info on NightFlight about 8 years ago. Evidently he used me as a source in a college paper he wrote and published on the net. I get about 2 emails a year from unknown people asking me about the show, thinking I'm some big expe

WOW!! I use to watch that all the time. They use to show great movies like "Breaking Glass" and "Rude Boy". I also remember them showing a great old Bauhaus show once. I also remember IRS "The Cutting Edge" hosted by Peter Zaremba of the Fleshtones. I

devildog: Did you listen to WRPI 77-81? We played lots of new wave.

I remember "Night Flight" well, and miss it. Some other segments: "New York Dance Stand", and "The Video Artist".
